This is why we started
When we started the service, our original tagline was “Modern Security for Classic Vehicles”. These vehicles can be rare, and lack the ability to protect them against even simple efforts at theft. One result of that is you never feel like you can take the thing anywhere, or leave it out of your sight even for a minute when you do head out. I knew we could add a great deal of protection to these cars and bikes, and slowly work on getting a good name for ourself in the enthusiast community.
Somewhow, we ended up focusing on VF Commodores as our first target once we found out how bad it is out there. I’m glad we’ve helped multiple VF owners! But we were pretty stoked today to do the first install on a classic car, even if it is a Restomod ‘67 Chevelle with a turbo LS3 in it!
Restomods vs. Classics
From the perspective of our immobiliser, there really is no difference between a classic and restomod. The only change is where you decide what circuits to intercept, and whether the act of using the immobiliser will cause any error codes (Check Engine Light / Diagnostic Trouble Codes) and if we need to add a bluetooth dongle to the OBD2 port so we can provide customers with the ability to remotely clear codes.
