Trackers, with laser gyros!

We posted a while ago about how we handily deal with GPS jamming. But what about when you’re driving in a tunnel, or an underground car park? This isn’t jamming, it’s just loss of signal. It does mean though that you lose accurate data on where your vehicle is for these scenarios.

So how does one best deal with that?

Announcing our updated ImmoTrack Essentials!

As of today, we now offer our ImmoTrack Essentials with an in-built laser gyroscope, otherwise known as an Inertial Measurement Unit or “IMU”. As always, we’re sticking with Teltonika here, and it’s packaged in the same case as our previous ImmoTrack Essentials, but this time with the advanced navigation features offered by the IMU.

Any other goodies?

Yes! The new ImmoTrack Essentials - using the Teltonika FTC927 hardware - includes Bluetooth beacon support and also is more easily integrated into vehicle alarm systems.

Beacons!

If you need a good fleet driver identification system, you can install the ImmoTrack Essentials into your vehicles and issue bluetooth beacons to your drivers. Any time the vehicle ignition is turned on, you can have a buzzer loudly beep at the driver until they press a button on their beacon. Very handy for ensuring you know that whatever happens, you know exactly who did it.

You could use this feature for monitoring family member driving habits, but you didn’t get that idea from us. Always respect privacy regulations wherever you are, folks.

Alarm integration

Alarm going off? We’ve got a notification in your ImmoTrack mobile app for that! This new version of the ImmoTrack Essentials allows for both positive (+12v) and negative (ground sense) signals to be detected. Your dealer can easily integrate any existing vehicle alarm into ImmoTrack, ensuring you immediately know if your car alarm has been triggered. Cool stuff, for no additional cost!
